Policy on payment for processing and publishing articles of the scientific journal "Demography and Social Economics"

The scientific journal “Demography and Social Economy” adheres to the principles of open science and ensures free access to research results. Accordingly, the journal’s editorial policy provides for the absence of any financial barriers for both authors and readers.

The journal does not charge any fees for submission, peer review, editorial processing, preparation for publication, or publication of articles (Article Processing Charges, APC). All stages of the editorial process, including the organization of peer review, linguistic and technical editing, are provided free of charge to authors. No payments are required for publication in either the print or electronic versions of the journal.

At the same time, the journal provides full open access to all published materials. Readers may freely access, download, and use the full texts of articles for scholarly purposes in accordance with applicable copyright regulations and the journal’s licensing policy.

The journal is funded within the framework of the Journal Support Program of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which is not related to any payments from authors. This approach is aimed at upholding the principles of academic integrity, ensuring equal access to publication opportunities, and preventing any influence of financial factors on editorial decisions.

The journal “Demography and Social Economy” guarantees that the absence of author fees does not affect the quality of peer review or editorial evaluation, and that all publication decisions are made solely on the basis of scientific merit, relevance, and alignment with the journal’s scope.
